Our courses are also suitable for high school teachers and administrators who would like to start filmmaking programs in their respective high schools. We believe that making films is not as hard as one thinks. The best way to learn it is just to go out and do it. The intensive hands-on nature of our classes will provide a firm foundation for the students to do so. Our emphasis is on quality. That means that all our instructors have overseas qualifications, practical experience and a passion for teaching. Our small class size garantees each student an appropriate amount of one on one time with faculty. All our courses are taught in English. So they are suitable for expatriates. We currently offer eight courses for budding filmmakers and still photographers: 1. Super 8 film shooting and processing This is a workshop conducted over two full days, teaching how to use this very popular film format. Super 8mm film is an economical tool for learning how 35mm Hollywood movies are made. 2. Three Day Film treatment This workshop requires only three hours per class for three classes over three weeks. It will get you started on creating your feature length project. In this workshop, you’ll develop your own story treatment and begin the script writing process. 3. Creative Photography This course meets three hours per week over four weeks. The technical as well as the conceptual side of photography will be explored. Assignments are mainly based on conceptual ideas. Robert Tran the instructor will try to stimalate students to come up with ideas and help them tranlate their ideas into images. 4. "Script Secrets" - 2-Day Screenwriting Seminar The objective of this seminar is to provide current screenwriting techniques and career guidiance from a leading Hollywood screenwriter. Emphasis is placed on achieving commercial viability whilst still maintaining a high-quality script. This seminar is suitable for both beginners and professionals. 5. Video Camcorder Operation This short three hour workshop will teach you how to use your video camcorder correctly. White Balance, Exposure Control, and Audio Level adjustments will be covered. 6. Digital Filmmaking Workshop This two day workshop teaches you how to make a movie that tells a story. You will learn screenwriting, directing and editing. By the end of the course you will have made a short film as a group. 7. Lighting for Cinematographers and Photographers This one day worshop teaches you fundamentals of lighting for both cinematographers and photographers. By the end of the workshop you will have shot beautiful portraits of your fellow students. 8. Acting Worshop by Glen Chin CHARACTER, RELATIONSHIP, OBJECTIVE and WHERE are the four conerstones of acting. The mastering of these techniques will ensure the student has better grasp of the concept of IN-THE-MOMENT acting.
